Bavaria 39

The Bavaria 39 has been described as a ‘no compromise cruiser’.  There are three large sleeping cabins, two aft and one forward.  ‘Kokopelli’ has a unique metallic grey hull which is wrapped to preserve the gel coat beneath and looks fantastic.  This wrapping can be easily removed. The hull is reinforced with kevlar to improve impact resistance.

This Bavaria 39  has been extensively cruised by her current owners who have owned her since new.  They are now looking for a boat to sail to more northern waters.

She is bermudan sloop rigged.  The standing rigging was replaced in 2005.  Slab reefing mainsail, headsail furling and lazy jacks.

Equipped with a full range of navigation equipment including navigation centre, radar detector and receiver.  All the canvas covers were replaced in 2006/2007.

The  saloon has ‘U’ shaped seating around a dining table with inlay.  Storage under the seating.  The linear galley is to port with a gas cooker, refrigerator and sink.

The Master cabin has a centre double berth, en suite with shower, sink and marine toilet .

Gib Sea 76

This Gib Sea 76 has been abandoned ashore following the owners move abroad.

Good Winds is up for sale at a very fair price (£5,950).  The Gib Sea 76 offers good sailing performance for her size.  Has a sleek hull and open plan saloon.  She will sleep 6 in 2 double and 2 single berths in 2 cabins.

Hallberg Rassy 40

  Hallberg Rassy 40 for Sale.  This is a 40 foot monohull center-cockpit fiberglass sloop  from Hallberg-Rassy, designed by German Frers.  Built in Sweden. River Launch

Newly refurbished and ready to go this River Launch is awaiting her next adventure on the waterways.  She started life in the 2970′s as a police launch on the River Thames.  She has been professionally re-fitted to include, new propeller, gel coat, teak decks, woodwork, wiring, deck lighting, cabin lights, a full cockpit cover, headlining and cushions.  She is powered by a Perkins 63545 140hp 6 cylinder diesel engine and a Borg Warner Gear Box, giving a cruising speed of 12 knots.  The engine was last serviced in May 2013

Hardy Pilot 20

Hanse 400

This Hanse 400 is a well equipped, fin keeled, cruising yacht with accommodation for up to seven in three cabins,  which includes twin double aft cabins and an offset double in the forecabin.  Jammel is a Hanse 400 that is equipped with Tacktic and Raymarine  equipment (all interfaced) and she is  powered by  a 40hp Yanmar inboard engine.  She has a distinctive light blue hull (which is newly cut and polished!).   Designed by Judel/ Vrolijk and built in 2007.

Grand Banks 36

This Grand Banks 36 was built of Mahogany in 1972 and has teak cockpit and side decks.  The boat is further enhanced with distinctive teak trimmed transom and rails.  At £35,000 she is a bargain and could easily be used as a liveaboard.

Boat Fire African Queen

A boat fire means that a well known fishing family in Dartmouth have lost their home and business when fire ripped through their boat, The African Queen

Alan and Hilary Hemsley lived on the boat from which they ran fishing trips for tourists. The former Navy vessel is steeped in history, having helped to repatriate bodies of those killed during World War Two.

The  pleasure boat was built nearly 70 years ago.  Fire fighters spent the night tackling the fire in the Dart Estuary at Dartmouth. A fire swept through the 51ft charter vessel moored on a pontoon in the middle of the estuary. Dartmouth fire crews were transported to the fire by the Dartmouth Lower Ferry after being called to the scene.

Thankfully nobody was injured and any pollution risk was contained by Dart Harbour Authority.

Dartmouth harbour master Rob Giles said: “The African Queen is an historic vessel.

“The fire was pretty nasty and after about an hour-and-a-half of fighting the fire, it kept re-igniting. It had 700 litres of diesel of board and it’s a wooden vessel.

“Hilary and Alan were so fortunate not to be on board should the fire have took hold swiftly and trapped them in the vessel.

“We are very thankful that nobody was hurt during the fire itself, or during the attempts to extinguish it and guard the safety of the vessel.”
